SPOC — Line of Business Operations

Position Overview:

The SPOC – Line of Business Operations acts as the operational anchor for the assigned
jewelry category, ensuring seamless coordination across vendors, stores,
merchandising, inventory, audit, accounts, marketing, and backend operations. The role
is responsible for managing vendor advances, audit and pricing queries, exhibition
dispatches, inventory accuracy, and operational governance while supervising a team
of executives. The SPOC enables the Category Head to focus on strategic
merchandising by driving execution excellence, timely closures, process accuracy, and
cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track vendor advances and ensure timely recovery within defined timelines.
  • Resolve audit discrepancies and coordinate with store and IP teams for closure.
  • Handle CP/GP variance queries with detailed analysis and corrective recommendations.
  • Resolve tag mismatches and inventory discrepancies while ensuring system accuracy.
  • Coordinate exhibition dispatches, product documentation, and valuation processes.
  • Liaise with marketing teams for product photoshoots and related coordination
    Support vendor onboarding, pricing negotiations, and master data accuracy.
  • Monitor ageing returns negotiations and STV closures while ensuring process adherence.
  • Oversee accuracy in attribute tagging, BOM/PL entries, and invoicing activities.
  • Drive TAT adherence across backend operational processes and proactively escalate unresolved bottlenecks.
  • Coordinate closely with merchandising, stores, IP, accounts, marketing, and vendors to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Maintain operational trackers, MIS reports, audit readiness, and KPI compliance.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of jewelry retail operations and inventory management processes.
  • Knowledge of PL/BOM, invoicing, tagging, stock management, and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical ability for CP/GP variance analysis, audit query handling, and inventory discrepancy resolution.
  • Proficiency in Excel, reporting, and operational data management
    Effective communication and vendor negotiation skills.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management capability
    High ownership mindset with strong follow-up and escalation handling skills
    Attention to detail, accuracy, and process orientation.
  • Team handling and operational supervision experience.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and in a fast-paced operational environment.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Experience in jewelry retail merchandising, operations, or inventory management.
  • Exposure to exhibition or event logistics coordination.
  • Vendor-facing operational and negotiation experience.
  • Strong execution focus with process-driven working style.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and operational priorities simultaneously.
